Secret Amway Man

So who was watching Dancing With The Stars the other night and one of the couples was dancing to Secret Agent Man and who got reminded of this video? I've brought it back for those who haven't seen it yet!

Ya gotta have a sense of humor!

IBO Mantra: Sometimes Nothing Else Is Important Except Amway

I have sat in enough Amway meetings listening to our Platinum or Diamond encourage and explain to the other business developers that they’d sometimes rather be spending time with their family instead of talking to the group.

That was the main thing I had in common with our uplines. I’d sometimes rather be spending time with my family than listening to endless stories about how to get stains out of silk or some such problem.

Occasionally we’d get a list of the things in life most important to our leaders. Amway would be down at the top of the list but god, family, wife, etc would be higher up. The reality is when you’re an IBO nothing else in your life is important except Amway. Here is the list of important things to an IBO:

1. Amway
2. Amway
3. Amway
4. Amway
5. Amway

I’m sure you get the pattern. That list could go into the thousands! Here’s how I see the list in the order of importance to an IBO but the Amway leaders don’t tell it like it is. They use repetitive stories to get this same message out to the flock.

1. Buy minimum 100 PV ($300) in Amway products each month
2. Attend all Amway meetings
3. Buy all Amway related business support materials
4. Respect your Amway leader
5. Respect everyone in your Amway upline
6. Devote your life to helping others
7. Love your wife and family – more important than the great Amway business
8. Love your life even if you don’t get much time off for Amway functions
9. Always make sure your mortgage/rent are met before you put any money towards Amway
10. Stay positive and help those you know to develop their own great Amway businesses

Anything else in an IBO’s life isn’t important anyway – according to the successful results of the distributors in our Amway upline.

Life With Nosy Amway IBO's

Before I was in Amway, I though the people in our line of sponsorship World Wide Dream Builders were throwing their money away buying seemingly overpriced Amway products. But then we signed up and learned they have not been throwing their money away, and if it wasn’t for the influence and encouragement of the our uplines we wouldn’t be where we are today.

When you’re in the Amway business, you find out fast that everyone else in the business is both loving and helpful. I’m sometimes one of these people that if something ain’t none of my business then I stay out of it. Years ago when I worked office gossip was rampant. Sometimes coworkers would start telling me something about somebody and I would say doesn’t sound like anything I need to know and walk away. I don’t need to know anybody else’s business if it doesn’t affect my life. Same with people who tried to get information out of me. Nope. I knew when to keep my mouth shut.

Well OK but not here on this blog. I use this blog to get the word out what its really like being a successful member of the Amway business and having the support of our uplines - the world’s greatest people who are so good and kind and are so willing to help us make it that they believe it’s their business to poke their noses into places I previously thought it did not belong.

In Amway the good uplines will always want to know how you are doing. In the past year one of the biggest search criteria that drove some IBO’s to my blog was anything to do with Ganesh and Neha Shenoy and whatever happened in their marriage and why did they get divorced. They were concerned and although not really anybody’s business they felt a need to care. That was great. These are the kind IBO’s in the Amway business. That means they make it their business. That’s part of the job description when it comes to a good Amway IBO. The Shenoys aren’t the only ones who are searched about their marriage. You name it the searcher has probably found their way to my blog. I have great and good IBO’s searching for information about the marriage and/or divorce for Brad and Lesley Wolgamott, Scott Harimoto, Dean Kosage, Jim Head, and a whole host of other Diamonds whose names do not immediately come to my mind because they haven’t been searched for in the past week.

If they’re not looking with their concerns on marriage/divorce they’re looking for show support for what kind of cancer Jim Dornan had/has and other intimate details of the lives of people in Amway.

I get tons of searches for Amway information. But what do these searchers really think? That IBO’s are posting everything online for all to see? Well maybe some are but you won’t find links here to every Amway IBOs in the business. C’mon!

Before we were in the Amway business I constantly had to put up with the questions from people outside our uplines demanding to know everything going on in our life. They pretty much left me alone after I told them my private life was none of their business. The shock on those prude’s faces that I would dare to disrespect them by using “that” kind of language! Yeah I really had a lot of respect for them! And then those whiny cry babies would complain that I wasn’t being very nice. It was a nightmare! That was before I learned that Amway IBOs are out to help lives and show people how to make more money. It was impossible not to be nice to a bunch of caring professionals like them!

My husband shared a lot of information with our upline about our lives than I previously ever wanted him to know about but I made it very clear to him that if I wanted our uplines to know anything about me then I would tell them myself. If I didn’t tell them nothing then those uplines could safely assume it was none of their business and they could back off.

The only reason IBO’s want to know intimate details about other IBO’s lives is so they can help them in a time of need. It’s almost instinctive. That is why good Amway IBO’s are the nosiest people I’ve ever met in my life. They have good ulterior motives with your best interests in mind.

I am probably the only one around who took a long time to realise what it takes to be concerned for the lives of other IBO’s. Staying out of other people’s lives is hard if you are a good Amway IBO!

And just because Amway WWDB Dream Night is huge on the search criteria right now I thought I throw in the key words just to help any IBO’s looking for more information like my blog isn’t already at the top of the search engines anyway. So far I’ve only had two IBO’s trying to go back in time and searching for information on Dream Night 2011 and 2012 so I’ll throw in that criteria too even though they probably should be searching for Dream Night 2013.

Amway Dream Night rocks!

And the good nosy Amway IBO’s are amazing!

You Quit Amway Because You Didn’t Work Hard Enough!

Over and over and over ad nausea I get some confused distributors show up at this blog stating that we previously quit Amway because we didn’t work hard enough and spouting off their various concerns about how you have to work hard at the Amway business if you want to be successful.

Not really. You have to be a good and be a good leader. Whether or not that’s hard work or comes naturally is another story.

Learn the difference. Some people think they’re so original. I’ve heard uplines in our Amway business spout that type of thing long before these newbies ever joined the business.

The one thing no IBO can define is what is the measure of “hard work”. Amway is advertised by most uplines as something you can do in your spare time 10 to 15 hours a week and make gazillions of dollars. Those 10 to 15 hours are pretty much already tied up attending Amway meetings or counselling with upline or dealing with phone calls and texts from other people in your Amway upline. Once the IBO spends time encouraging people to come to the Amway meetings or buying the great products those hours can easily be doubled. Triple that if the IBO finds some new people to show the plan to but that’s ok!

People don’t quit Amway or weren’t successful at Amway because they didn’t work hard enough. They finally woke up and realized the business was just not for them at this time. They realized they weren’t making enough money and decided to do something else. And when they talked to other IBO’s or former Amway members some had similar stories. So they quit. They didn’t renew their Amway membership. They stopped buying the products. They stopped hanging out with other members. They stopped listening to CD’s and being encouraged. They walked away. They didn’t walk away from life. They just made a decision that was “right” for them. I know real business owners who have had to shut down their businesses for one reason or another. And it’s usually a very traumatic event. The business was their passion. They put everything they had into it, their money and every hour of the day they could. For whatever reason the business didn’t make money and they had to close down and quit wasting their money.

Some would say those business owners didn’t work hard enough. For some reason I have friends who like to start up sandwich shops. Yes! I know lots of people who can fix me a good sandwich! I remember the first of our friends who started up a shop told us they’d spent or probably got a bank loan for $50,000 for one of the kitchen equipment. I don’t know if it was a restaurant grade coffee espresso cappuccino machine or something else for the kitchen. Don’t remember. Just remember 50k. They were in sort of a bad location. Got lots of traffic but parking was horrible around here. They closed down after about 6 months. Since then there have been other restaurants start up in this same location and they’ve all closed down soon thereafter.

So did my friends fail at their business because they didn’t work hard enough? Nope. They were at the restaurant 80 hours a week maybe more. But some confused Amway IBO would point fingers at them and say that 80+ hours a week ain’t enough and they weren’t hard workers and they’re failures and losers. What about all the businesses that were lost because of Sandy Frankenstorm on the east coast? I saw news footage of a woman standing where her restaurant used to be. It had all blown away except for the Pepsi fridge. Sure insurance will cover a lot of these businesses getting rebuilt but some people will walk away. Screwed up Amway newbies will accuse those devastated by Hurricane Sandy and closing their businesses as not working hard enough.

Where do these Amway newbies think they have the right to go around accusing people of quitting their businesses because they didn’t work hard enough. And what is the measure of hard work anyway? None of them will answer that question when I ask them. It’s inconceivable to a screwed up Amway newbie that there are other reasons why people close down their businesses other than they “didn’t work hard enough.” No matter how hard someone works and no matter how much money they’ve invested in their business if it isn’t profitable the smartest financial move is to close up shop and walk away.

So get a big grip out there to all those Amway newbies and fix your distorted work ethic!

The Platinum Swimming Pool

We were over at a friend’s house the other day sitting on the patio around the pool when all of a sudden gurgling noises I mean really loud noises start coming from the pumphouse. Everyone goes over for a look. I’m no mechanic. All I can tell you is something in there was making a heck of a noise and water was gushing around this plastic bubble thing in there. Our friend turned off the power switch. That’s one way of fixing the problem. They have to phone someone for maintenance. That’s what people do around here. Call the pool boy service.

I like to swim I have to have a house with a pool but I know things can go bad. And expensive. The thing with pools is that when something goes wrong like a burst pipe underground or in our friends case really noisy mechanical noises it’s a real pain in the rear to fix and is going to cost $$$ to repair.

Our upline Platinum had a huge swimming pool in his backyard. Actually the black lagoon may have been a better name for it. I don’t know when it happened but it was sometime after he bought the house something in the pumphouse broke down. I don’t remember when he bought the house but it was sometime within 5 years of signing up to Amway. He could have been living there a year or two before we met. All I remember is that they hadn’t owned the house a whole long time and they said the pool worked when they bought it and they used it the first year. His son and daughter were 13 and 14 when we met so they were old enough to know not to go near that nasty pool but if they’d been there 5 years earlier they would have been young enough the pool pristine clean or black lagoon would have been an attractant.

It’s a kidney shaped pool popular at the time the house was built for people with small backyards. Our Platinum’s pool was filled about one third with black green murky water. I don’t know what all was growing in there. Gross nasty stuff. Maybe they threw the wrong products in there and that’s what happened! For a pool to get that bad there is serious neglect going on. It would seem if the pool is not able to be repaired that at the very least all the water should be drained out of it. I don’t know if they actually partly drained their pool or if it was leaking and the water level finally ended up below the leak. I mean either get the pool in working condition or fill it in and put a garden over it. It’s just nasty the way it is. Not to mention a health and safety hazard. My husband even asked our Platinum why he didn’t get it fixed and running again and got a great answer that all their extra money was being invested back into “the business” and he also reasoned the pool wasn't making them money. No but somewhere down the road it’s going to cost you a lot of money the longer you let it stay like it is. I’m sure they won’t fill it in because they probably think a pool is a good selling feature for a house when it comes time to sale. Not a hell hole crappy pool like that! The buyers would likely deduct 25k for their inconvenience of dealing with that neglected pool.

Is the Platinum a lazy person because he won’t clean and repair his pool? Hell yes!!!! Even if a bucket brigade needs to be formed the water can be gotten out of that pool one way or another. It can be scrubbed down. Leaks can be fixed. Whether there are leaks in the underground pipe system or mechanical issues in the pumphouse I don’t know. But you know how some people are always running around leaving comments on my blog about “lazy” and “didn’t try hard enough” blah blah blah those comments could be applied to our Platinum. He’s lazy because he doesn’t get his pool into at least a respectable clean safe area. If he tried to fix it he didn’t try hard enough because it looks like a toilet. The reality is they have no desire to fix that pool. No matter how many times he helped us in making 10k/month in Amway and whatever party he threw for us that week they had no desire to keep that pool clean. That’s what Amway does to people. Gives them a different perspective.

I’m not surprised that he hasn’t sent out pool party invitations to his downlines. It won’t be the type of pool party where you sit around on loungers with drinks and go for a dip in the pool and have a BBQ afterwards. The only real pool party should be a work party. Bring your scrub brushes! He has recently prospected and signed up someone who maintains swimming pools so maybe he might get the pool fixed for free.

So all those times our Platinum used to lead meetings and talk about lazy people he really needed to look in a mirror. Hey! Platinum! Clean up your pool!

I think I have a pool problem!

Misguided Amway IBO Concerns!

I had an IBO leave a comment on the blog a few days ago. It was a description of his business the like of which we’ve all heard from our Amway uplines hundreds of times. You don’t know whether or not to praise him or pat him on the back. I made a couple of edits for the post here. In his original comment Aaron put in his last name and email address which I removed for this post. But I’ll say good on him for having the guts to add to the blog because most people affiliated with Amway present or past are too embarrassed to put themselves out there. I don’t know Aaron. You should have just left yourself anonymous. That’s OK to do that here.

Yes! I am part of Amway and I love it, and just looking at the previous negativity here, I can honestly say that it was the best decision I ever made. Let's think, I can keep listening to people like the ones who sometimes write here, full of negativity, OR I can hang around people that have achieved greatness and show me how to do the same. The reason some people fail at the business is because they can't shake the mentality that surrounds them and they listen to folks, like all of you who post negative messages on here, and let their dreams slip away. What's gonna happen to all of you when you retire? What then? What other option do you have if you even qualify for retirement? Pay cut in half, nothing to look forward to but poverty... And I am supposed to listen to YOU? Ha! Give me a break. Amway isn't an easy business. It takes work and being able to change daily habits, get away from all the broke, negative people around you and form your own darn opinion. So gather together, try to take the dreams out of view of those who want change and continue living a mundane existence. What else do you all have to offer people besides complaints and misfortune? Nothing. Oh well, your loss, your life. My name is Aaron. I have been in the business for 2 years and haven't made any money yet, but you know what? It was all because I didn't make use of what I was taught and was lazy. Who would want to follow someone who can't even follow their own direction. Well, I made a decision to get serious and I already have 6 different legs ready to get started. I am a leader that teaches them to disregard public opinion. Negative opinions can only produce negative results. No wonder you hate successful people. Jealous much? Remember my name. One day very soon you will see what I do, and not just in the Amway business. I teach people to better their lives, whether in their current job or in this business. I teach them to have their own opinions instead of listening to people like you. Who in their right mind would want to follow someone who can only point out everything bad in the world? Foolish. Keep your opinions, though. We need garbage men and janitors and Walmart workers. Thank you for making sure I have people I can be inspired from to make a change in my life. Bash away! I love it! Bring it on! Aaron. Remember it.

You love being part of Amway. The IBO’s in our Amway upline weren’t able to teach me initially so I don’t have the same experience you do but it’s my guess that members of my Amway business will speak highly of their experiences and how much they love it.

Negativity here? Typical response sometimes. There are those who can’t tell the difference between negativity and the truth. Joining Amway was the best decision you ever made. Well done! Your life is now on the upward slope!

The reason some people fail at Amway is because they don’t have the right mentality? I think you probably might mean the mentality of a business owner. I’m not sure. Absolutely there are people out there who don’t have what it takes financially, emotionally, physically whatever to be a business owner. I’ve said that lots of times. I try to encourage them to get with the program. The only people who own Amway have the name of De Vos and Van Andel and their heirs. Everyone else is own a variation on the same theme. A self-employed person with a huge opportunity and the promise of a guaranteed income. What’s going to happen when the negative people retire and what other options do they have for retirement? Most people make decisions for their retirement while they’re still working. This could involve a retirement savings plan, purchasing stocks or real estate, owning another form of business that they can sell at retirement, putting money in a pension plan. There’s all kinds of options out there. Talk with a financial consultant or retirement planner if you’re really so concerned. I believe that Amway is only real retirement opportunity out there. And guess what. All of us heard that negative information too! "What else is out there". Guess what! Lots of things!

Poverty in retirement? I guess that might happen to people dumb enough not to stick around Amway long enough and blow all their savings and run up the credit card debt. You’ve been in Amway for 2 years and haven’t made any money yet? That’s a similar story for some but 99.9% of IBO’s who sign up for Amway quickly develop a clear business pathway. Get a clue! If you’re selling books you’ve written, recordings where you’re the speaker and produced the CD, and tickets to functions where you are the speaker to IBO’s at a convention you will make a lot money in Amway! Do you have a business plan like real Amway business owners do? Then stick to it. Most lousy business owners can’t operate at a loss for extended periods of time. They have to make a smart business decision and often a painful decision to cut their losses and close up shop.

If you really believe the uplines in your Amway upline then you are on the road to making money, not because you are lazy or you have self-esteem problems. We offer counselling help. And DO regularly “counsel with your upline” because those IBO’s will always have more experience than you!

6 different legs ready to get started? Fantastic.

Don’t sneer at people who have other types of jobs. I don’t judge people on what they do for a living but clearly some may have issues with janitors and Walmart workers and think they’re beneath them. There are some judgemental IBO’s out there. You have every right to think you're better than everyone else just because you're in Amway. Be careful! You could be in for a fall!!!!!!!

Aaron you clearly do seek to teach people to better their lives. But re-read what you wrote here. You have an immature Amway attitude. Why be so focused on “negative” instead of figuring out what the truth is? Don’t be so paranoid when it comes to words like negative, loser, and lazy. The rest of the world isn’t. Talk to a professional in the financial business and show him your Amway business plan and get a professional assessment. Two years of not making money and you’re just getting a clue? It’s time to beef up your involvement in this great business opportunity.

Real Business Owners Versus Employees

A distributor named Frank stopped off to leave a long and incisive comment to one of my posts. Too long to reprint here. Be a blog and a half itself! But I’ll give Frank props for taking the time to write. Most distributors past and present are too busy to take time off from building their Amway businesses.

To start off with Frank sets off all the female readers on my blog into fits of giggles by saying he is 20 years old going on 21 with the mind of a 28/29 year old. All the women I know (3 and that includes some relatives from the hill country) that men get to age 12 to 15 years old and they hold on for decades! Give them till their 60’s before they “might” get to the mind set of someone in their 20’s! Maybe not even then! Just joking! (but not about my relatives though!)

Like the typical 20/21 year old who leaves comments here they can appear to be know it alls at that age. They can come across as “big” important business owners whilst the rest of us are less knowledgeble who joined Amway but don’t try hard enough and aren’t hard workers and blah blah blah. They don’t realise what we’ve heard a million times before from the enthusiastic newbies in our Amway downline. Bless ‘em!

I’ve said it tons of times. Just because someone puts on a business suit, is glued to their cell phone, and marches off to 8pm meetings doesn’t make them a real business owner.

Serious business owners follow procedures in starting up/running their business. I’m going to put some of them here in no particular order and this not a complete list. Just off the top of my head right now.

1. research – is this a viable business opportunity that will earn them money: is the market already saturated or is there really no customer interest in this type of business?
2. purchase or lease a place to operate the business
3. choose and register a business name
4. get a license from the city to operate the business
5. get a lawyer to help with incorporation, etc if needed
6. get an accountant to help set up the business accounts, file taxes, etc
7. hire other professionals as needed for business set up or ongoing basis
8. hire employees
9. get a tax number
10. get insurance to cover business, employees, and customers
11. use the business plan
12. have a bank account under the business name
13. purchase inventory
14. decide on prices for the products or services
15. purchase equipment needed to operate business
16. decide on hours of operation

These are some of the steps taken by serious business owners and there is always a cost to starting, owning, operating a business. It can vary depending on the business and how much work/capital the owner can do themselves. People who are employees whether paid hourly, salary, or commissioned salespeople do not normally have to take any of the above steps.

Those are some of the differences between a real grown up business owner and an uninformed newbie starting out in any MLM business. And some of those newbies show up on my blog and accuse me and my husband of being lazy and not developing our own business, etc etc. Yeah right! We are people who are not lazy and do own their own business and take seriously those above steps and expenses for no particular reason other than to show you how real success is developed!!!

You can appear to be a moron who wants to insult us because we don’t develop our own businesses and have probably never taken any of the above steps to get their business legally operating. Stop and think and learn to listen to what your Amway uplines are telling you and get out into the real world and learn what its really like to own a business and quit playing at it and insulting others around you!. All distributors are a hard working bunch of highly paid commissioned salespeople and you have a fantastic opportunity in your hands. Pay attention to organizations such as WWDB or LTD and realise what a privilege it is of belonging to a business like this.

You’re just learning how to play on the same level as a real business owner. Learn to play the game the way your Amway upline would want you to.

Amway Distributors Paranoid About Lazy!

I get a lot of various pieces of input from IBO’s who show up here and feel inclined to leave a comment: do-gooder, winner, positive, dreambuilder, christian, lazy, tries very hard, etc, etc, etc!!!!!! Wait a minute! LAZY???

Today I thought I’d write a post about some Amway distributors paranoia about their perception of lazy.

According to those distributors that description belongs to people who quit Amway. Lazy.

A bit too judgemental there fellow distributors.

Pointing fingers is one thing but you might be pointing them the wrong way and you might just be the lazy distributor. You really think you’re going to become millionaires by working less than 10 to 15 hours a week even though your upline will tell you that is the minimum amount you should be putting in and that Amway is not a get rich quick scheme. Making $100,000 in 3 months, 6 months, a year whatever time period your Amway upline quotes will seem pretty quick to most people. Amway is not a get rich quick scheme and certainly not a business for lazy people.

Most people who run their own businesses work long hours, maybe work every day of the week. These could be the same people who need Amway to find it can work for them if they decide not to waste any more money on half-brained jobs and quit to focus on a real business and real income. Some distributors should not point fingers and accuse others of quitting cause they’re lazy. Lazy ass distributors who have likely never really understood their own business or know what hard work is really like. And no. Sometimes just putting on a suit and spending hours on phone calls and texts with the people in your Amway upline and pretending you own an Amway business does not make you a real business owner.

Back to lazy. Years ago a coworker told me that she was over at a friend’s house and the kitchen wasn’t clean. According to my coworker there is no reason why a kitchen can’t be clean. If you don’t keep your kitchen clean then you’re lazy. I disagreed with her. For all she knew her friend had spent 30 minutes cleaning the kitchen and it was clean enough for her. What my coworker, her friend, and I think of as a clean kitchen could be miles apart. What’s clean for one person may not be clean enough for someone else. Doesn’t mean they’re lazy. Just different standards for clean. They got it clean enough and moved on to do something else.

Just because someone isn’t doing something that maybe they should be getting done doesn’t make them a lazy person. It just means they ended up doing something else instead of doing what they should have got done.

Before we were in Amway there were a lot of unemployed people and others who got fired. A person who stopped by recently to leave a comment here said he had to fire a distributor. The usual reasons I think I’ve covered before. When you hire a distributor they immediately think they’ve got better things to do than get the work done they signed up to do. The better things they’ve got to do are taking/responding to phone calls and texts from the people in their Amway upline and encouraging their downlines to come to meetings, buy Amway products. Some people could look at those distributors as lazy. Others that they’re doing things just right to do with their time/business.

I know if I was “paying” someone to get a job done and they were busy doing other stuff instead I’d be ticked off.

Bottom line if people are lazy that doesn’t affect my life one way or the other. Unless of course I was paying them to do a job. So why are some distributors so fixated on lazy? Why do they care if someone is lazy? How does it affect their life if someone is lazy? Why do they automatically label people who quit Amway as lazy? Why do they bother leaving comments on my blog about the lazy people who have quit Amway? Because they have no respect for themselves and are not paying attention to anything their Amway upline says! They have to justify why all these people quit Amway. Couldn’t be that the person rightly decided the business is just not for them. Not according to the wrong footed distributor. It’s cause they’re lazy and that’s why they didn’t want to make money. Has nothing to do with the fact that making money only being a fraction of the reasons why people sign up in the first place.

If a distributor tries to prospect you into Amway just tell them it’s an honour to be invited. No real distributor will go nutso and become judgemental when they understand what real laziness is. Lazy people already know Amway will not be a good idea for them.

Yeah we can throw it right back in those really lazy prospects faces!

Lazy ass prospects need not apply!

Just because someone chooses not to do something or doesn’t do it to your standards doesn’t make them lazy. Just means it was good enough for their own standards or that they had something better to do.

Just cause someone isn’t in Amway doesn’t make them lazy. Just means they think they’ve got better things to do with their time and money. So don’t be too judgemental fellow distributors!

Amway Makes More Millionaires than Microsoft???!!!

I recently had one of my downlines show up who left a comment that more millionaires have come out of Amway than Microsoft.

It sounded just like one of these outrageous claims that some distributors can make. Most likely heard it from another distributor and are duplicating what they said. It got me to thinking that if Amway really creates more millionaires than Microsoft or any other well known company for that matter then head office would be pointing it out on their web page or in business magazines.

Of course no sane distributor would want to back up a lie and be wrong about a list of Amway millionaires and Microsoft millionaires. Which is why it’s my guess that Amway’s head office doesn’t go around making outrageous claims, especially ones that are unverifiable. They leave the facts to speak for themselves.

It seems logical, but it’s a claim that I cannot verify, that Amway has made more millionaires of the company owners and their heirs than Microsoft.

There is plenty of proof that most Amway Diamonds are millionaires. Amway literature states the average Diamond earns around $150,000/year but that is just the lowest number based on the minimum effort to reach the Diamond level. It’s still nice income but obviously it’ll take many years of saving and investing to reach millionaire status with whatever disposable income is left over from 150k after taxes and living expenses have been paid. The Diamonds highest up on the earning chain and who get paid to speak at functions and who sell CDs of themselves talking about the Amway opportunity and other related information relevant to the business could conceivably become millionaires. Of course they do tend to have large groups of people in their downline organizations. There are probably a considerable amount of people in Amway who have become millionaires exclusively through Amway. And maybe some up and coming distributors are following in their footsteps and think of themselves as Amway-made millionaires.

Just because someone says or gives the impression that they’re a millionaire due to Amway you can almost everything those Amway people say is true. These IBO’s don’t normally go around posting their net worth statements and supporting documentation up on the Internet. One look at their lifestyle will tell you enough.

Here’s a little secret for you distributors. Just because someone in your upline tells you other distributors further upline are millionaires it is most likely true. Just because someone lives in a fancy house with sports cars and shows photos of walking the beaches of the world and gives the impression they are millionaires tells me they didn’t get there just by being lucky. Hard work and persistence does pay off.

However if any distributor does have a list of Amway millionaires against a list of Microsoft millionaires I would love to see that!

Happy Amway People!

The happiest people I’ve ever met in my life are Amway distributors.

When you meet them for the first time they’ll have these amazing grins on their face and they totally love bomb you. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and they will always seek to talk to the people in the room who are not Amway business members. Gotta make sure the prospects know this is more than just a business.

And once you really get to know these Amway people you realise they really are happy distributors!

And there’s plenty to be happy about when you’re on the inside of the Amway business. Amway IBO’s have learned how to devote all their time and money to their Amway colleagues and downlines. They’ve learned to believe that people who are not members of the Amway business are missing something wonderful and to encourage them by making time for them and their family and friends. They’re selling the idea of how to be free and not need to ask permission before doing anything or no longer feel able to do the fun activities they enjoyed before getting into life’s little ruts. They are “investing” all this money in “the business” and seeing great rewards in excess of $1000’s or so each month. And that’s only the beginning. They also promote the idea of purchasing about $300 worth of Amway products every month designed to replace needlessly spending more money through other outlets. I’m counting more than a few hundreds of dollars that might as well be flushed down the toilet by not choosing Amway products in place of those sole by nameless corporations. The only people making a profit in the Amway business are all those who’ve recently joined all the way up the Diamonds and beyond. There is no point in sitting on top of a pyramid (think low paid JOB’s) when there ain’t no room for no one else getting in the system.

Wiping out your savings account and driving up the credit card debt are reasons enough to consider joining Amway. Helping you to prevent that happening make Amway people happy.

Then the Amway distributor wants to grow. That’s when the Amway business leader starts riding mentoring more. “You can grow in the knowledge that success is right around the corner. You’re about to go really big really soon I can feel it.” So the Amway distributor learns and believes the time honored message and sticks around to realise more money and a healthier business.

And then the distributors in the Amway upline reinforce their message to the other IBO’s:

“This Amway business is so easy that any positive thinking person can succeed at it.” “If you’re not making money in Amway then we will help you make more than enough.” “Hard working and successful people can make a lot of money in Amway.” “If you don’t make money in Amway initially then we will help you overcome that.”

And on and on come the messages that only serve to make you and other IBO’s happy. The Amway upline are the most positively minded people around. They will go a long way to go to promote moral in your team!

Family and friends are delighted to be associated with the Amway distributor. The distributor enjoys happiness with them. Happy because somewhere deep down the distributor knows these people are enjoying the products and the savings they make by not overspending in regular stores. The IBO will always admit to helping someone realise the truth this business and it’s product line. So the distributor displays their happiness towards anyone who is trying to get into and understand the truth about the Amway business.

That means the distributors beloved Amway leaders are upright folk and are there only to help you make it. That makes the distributor happy when they figure out they’ve been surrounded and helped by some of the most honest people on earth. Amway is a lot of fun and that makes distributors happy.

The longer a distributor stays in Amway the more rewarding it becomes and being surrounded by like mined uplines makes a lot of distributors happy.

Don’t want to be angry no more? Get into Amway!

A Room Full of Winners!

At the Amway meetings I attended everyone was constantly reaffirmed they were a “winner”. A winner sometimes simply by showing up! I was sitting in a roomful of winners! Wow!

I agree!!!!

Based on Amway definitions I guess and it turns out I was always under the false impression that a winner was a person who wins a prize or something. Based on my definition I bet I was probably the biggest loser in the room. My first prize? A cake in a cakewalk! I’ve won countless small prizes in raffles and radio and TV contests like books, concert tickets, and Starbuck’s gift cards. I’ve won cash, maybe totalling$1000 several times on radio contests over the years. I’ve even won a couple of trips from company Christmas parties where they purchased or got an airline to donate prizes.

How come I never win the lotteries for those million dollar houses???!!!!

But probably I would I have a better track record than the rest of the room when it comes to being a winner in those circumstances. I’ve made some money on a lot of contests but never more than I ever did in Amway! With no money invested and just a little time. Not even 10 to 15 hours a week! You can make a lot of money and be a winner!

Everyone else in the room is a “winner” just because they showed up to the 8pm warrior meeting instead of staying home watching TV.

The big winner is the person who sponsors the most prospects! The prize is the adoring respect of your peers.

Yeah! That’s right. The winners in this room brought a lot of prospects. Lot’s adoring respect for all of them. Everyone was on the receiving end of the Platinum’s applause.

The real winners? Those of us who said: “Bring it on! Amway’s for me.”

Whatever happened to that roomful of “winners”? Are they winning or are they losing?

All of those winners are still hanging in there making their money and gaining their freedom. The rest of us should admire them and jump on the bandwagon.

Slice and Dice!

Getting back to being Amway WWDB FED up at the Bren Center in Irvine after hanging out behind the scenes for a bit Joecool and I wandered around the halls and arena area mingling with other Amway distributors. Well not really mingling more like blending in and watching the show. Its really great and fantastic how these distributors are continuing to support those uplines waving at them from the stage and how they have they no doubt that in a couple of years they’ll be rich too and they’ll be on the stage speaking to everyone. That’s approximately 56% of distributors who get to the stage level. C’mon people try and get that through your heads! There’s more than enough room at the top of the pile for all of you!!! And the ones at the top really only want to share the wealth!

Tried to spend as much time inside the auditorium where we could see the speakers. All I heard was very encouraging and similar to what I heard a long time ago so we went back to the hall. Actually you couldn’t stay away from those distributors. I could hear them everywhere I went. Hear them sound happy and excited even if I could not really understand what they were saying.

We could not see enough. But enough to know that nothing good changes. Enough to hear some distributor from the stage tell a good story about how he worked at a gas station and his wife was a waitress and then some dear friend showed them the plan and then they got into “the business” and now they can buy anything they want. Fantastic. It never gets tired how many times that story is told but can those distributors tell it well. All the while mentioning the Amway word.

We stayed.

Went not too far away to get a cold drink. That would be soft drink not a real drink even though that wasn’t out of the question either it was just too early! I didn’t want to be too far away to not to run into any distributors. Trust me. A few blocks was far enough! There’s a bunch of Amway guys in there. We have arrived! And it was great to see one or two people taking a little break from all the excitement. The functions are fine and your upline is great company but a private chat with other distributors is something not to miss!

It was funny though! Some of the newbies are looking at us like hawks. Fresh meat! Joecool suggests we take a table near some of them so we can hear them. Mostly they’re talking about how to operate their businesses and what level they’re going to attain and joshing each other about their PV and how many downlines they’re going to sign up when they get home.

It takes about 3 minutes for a newbie to think of approaching us.

Tells me he likes my shirt and wants to know where I bought it. I don’t remember so I tell him Target. And just in case anyone is wondering there is nothing spectacular about my shirt. Its light blue with a v neck. Buy one just like it anywhere I’m sure. Then he asks where I work. Oh help. I’m getting hit with FORM. So I decide to have some fun. Ha ha! What else do you do with a newbie!

So I tell him we work at the Bren Events Center not too far away and we’re finally off shift and he wouldn’t believe what’s going on there. A bunch of hopeful people listening to the biggest opportunity I’ve ever seen in my life. He looks happy. Whether it’s at my body language or my describing the people he loves and understands I don’t know. He doesn’t know I’m teasing him yet!

So then he says wouldn’t you like not to have to go to work everyday. I say I’d like that but my boss would be really upset when he finds out I’m not going to work and I’ll probably lose my job. Then I tell him that both of us are interns on a get-back-to-work program as part of building new careers.

The guy looks nervous now that he realizes he’s talking to some real propects. But he’s curious and he asks me what I was qualified at. That’s was the question that made me laugh and concoct a crazy story.

I saw the movie Double Jeopardy not too long ago and inspiration strikes. I remember that scene where Ashley Judd is in the library and this guy is hitting on her and how she tells him she killed her husband so he’ll take off.

So I say worked a meat counter at Walmarts, slice and dice. That my husband and I were sailing near Santa Cruz Island and I accidently stuck him with a knife and had to call the medivac. The newbie looks shocked but before he can get away I point to Joecool and ask don’t you want to know what he used to do? The newbie loses nerve and says no and walks away from us. Whispers something to the other distributors and they all laugh.

Yeah we had a good laugh over that!

What else can you do with newbies if you’re feeling in a naughty mood! We were planning to go back on Sunday for awhile cause Joecool wanted to see what they’re doing in the Sunday morning worship session but something came up and I couldn’t go. And that got me thinking about all those distributors who couldn’t get to the training convention. If something had come up for any of them, an emergency, a special function, what have you to prevent them coming at least there will always be another FED to go to in the future. Whenever that day comes they will happy they got the chance to be at an Amway function.

Alternative Things to do in Denver Colorado at the Amway WWDB FED 2012

One of the places that Amway World Wide Dream Builders is holding Free Enterprise Days is at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver Colorado. WWDB FED will be held there from October 26 to 28, 2012.

It’s time to come up with some alternative things to do in Denver if you don’t feel like attending the Amway training conference. I don’t recommend sitting in your hotel room watching TV, a much better option would be to actually go and listen to a great bunch of successful distributors talk about their Amway experiences! As usual my blog is getting tons of hits from distributors desperate to find information on how they can love and worship their upline leaders and learn about how to operate a better business. It does sometimes seem that Amway WWDB is secretive about keeping this information away from the newbies who want to learn more but the Conference is really a special place to go and they don’t want to spoil the surprise! Here’s my advice. Do go! However in the interest of fairness there are alternative things to do in Denver! And reasonably priced!

October is a little early for skiing but I’ve found some other things to do. Denver Zoo - Most of the places Amway holds functions have a zoo. Coin toss! Should I visit the baboons at the Denver Zoo or the business champions walking across the stage at Amway WWDB FED? Admission is $15 or slightly cheaper if you’re over 65 years or younger than 12 years. A couple could spend a day at the zoo and go out for a really nice dinner all for a reasonable cost.http://www.denverzoo.org/

Denver Art Museum - if you’re into looking at works of art this is the place to be. It costs $13. Slightly cheaper if you’re a Colorado resident, a senior or a student. Where’s that coin for the toss? Museum or zoo? Goodbye Picasso hello lions.http://www.denverartmuseum.org/

Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum - I’ve visited a few aircraft museums and this is something I’d consider seeing as how I still haven’t gotten over the Spruce Goose being moved out of Long Beach! Not that it’s in Colorado. I think it went somewhere in Oregon. Admission is $11. Slightly cheaper if you’re over 65 or under 12. On Sunday afternoon October 28, chose wisely between your Amway upline who want to help you at FED and go to the Haunting at the Hangar instead. http://www.wingsmuseum.org/

Molly Brown House Museum - If you’re a Titanic trivia buff you’ll enjoy this museum where the unsinkable Molly Brown lived. Admission is $8, slightly cheaper for other age groups. But the good news is if you’re in Denver for FED on Friday and Saturday night October 26 and 27 from 6pm to 9pm the house is hosting an evening called Victorian Horrors. Lets see. We have our choice. Going to an evening of Amway winners or going to an evening of Victorian horrors.I know which one I’m choosing! It’s Amway for me! http://www.mollybrown.org/

How Fun is it To Sneak Into An Amway Function?

I’m sure everyone wants to know what kind of curious person would want to attend a personal tour behind the scenes at an Amway learning conference!

Ha ha!

My contact who is friends with the son of a friend of mine wasn’t available on Friday night so Joecool and I decided to settle for the Saturday shift. I won’t say what my new best buddy job is but he can pretty much go anywhere in the Bren Events Center and no one will question him so we tag along behind the scenes. At one point he takes a phone call and steps away from us. We’re backstage but not behind the stage and not near any of those award winners who are going up on the stage to speak the masses. I can hear the crowd screaming or maybe they were cheering during the training sessions. Hard to tell at these Amway events. This Amway official in a suit practically jumps out of the shadows on top of us. He’s staring at us. Or maybe he was smiling. Kind of hard to tell with these distributors.

“Who are you?” The Amway person asked.

“I’m Cheryl and this is Steve.” I said.

Apparently satisfied with that answer the official backs off and I don’t see him again. Probably some volunteer Platinum who’s been assigned to patrol the hallways for excited distributors who want to rush the Diamonds and assure them of their undying love and devotion.

That’s understandable!

A little later I see a clipboard lying on a table in an empty room. I pick it up and carry it around trying to look official but mostly I hang onto it cause its got some kind of map on it that I can probably use to find our way around. Our contact is still with us when we walk down a hall. Keep in mind that this area is not accessible to the distributors. You gotta be a Diamond or involved in some kind of volunteer role or be employed by Bren. Gotta keep the security up and unauthorized personnel out of this area.

Then my friend stops us outside a closed door. There’s some talking going on. Men. But we can’t hear what they’re saying. Just a few words coming through every now and then. He actually puts his ear to the door and is practically killing himself laughing. He says sounds like 3 of them in there discussing their speeches. Joecool says it’s probably their first time to a function. What else do Diamonds talk about? Then this woman comes flying around the corner. She’s in this gown and looks as if she should be at an Oscar party. Was she lost? I thought about it too late but afterwards I thought I should have helped her but she seemed to know where she was. Have no idea if sensed we were just a couple of buddies sneaking around backstage! She puts her hands on her hips and stares at us and in an icy tone goes excuse me I’m going in there. She’s upset over something all right but for whatever reason she doesn’t seem to care that we’re trying to hear what’s going on in that room. My contact says he’s going in there too because it sounds like someone might need help and he wants to make sure that no one is in danger. The lady tells him politely to mind his own business she can deal with it whatever it is? He goes in anyway and Joecool and I are left standing there. We back off a bit. Can’t hear anything going on in there anyway now that an outsider is in there. He comes out after two or three minutes, shuts the door, and shakes his head and mutters something about these being the biggest bunch of newbies he’s ever had to deal with.

That was about as exciting as it got. Have more stuff and its good Amway stuff but not too exciting and not really my thing to blog about. That was the only day we got to see backstage and we didn't stay too long. It’s too life draining spending time anywhere away from where the distributors are. Me and Steve were planning to go to lunch on Sunday but something came up and that was the end of it.

Operation MEET Up!

Woo hoo! Joecool and I have met in person. Had a lot of fun chatting about our Amway experiences and other stuff. Neat guy!

I have a downline we are meeting up with at the Bren Events Center in Irvine where the WWDB Amway convention is being held. Should be fantastic seeing all our successful distributors praising their business leaders and listening to some great information being promoted from the stage. I'm looking forward to hearing it again! And I'll be fired up and just like you people. I gotta listen to this. You ain't gonna make no real money without Amway no matter how many times your employer or friend tells you about how you'll be rolling in dough if you just stick it out a little longer. Free Enterprise Days. FED. Major function. Gotta get my keywords in!

So roll on! We will be there long enough that we’ll require rescuing! Besides I'm looking forward to running into any of the previous people I used to know in Amway. Just a lot of information gathering. Maybe have a little fun. You bet!

101 Ways To Praise An IBO

101 Ways to Praise an IBO

When I originally wrote this I was inspired by a new show on TV called 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show. It’s hilarious! I’d like to do some of those stunts myself but with extra safety equipment of course! Whatever happened to that show???? Gonzo!! Unlike the majority of IBO’s who sign up for Amway!

This post might help out the people who end up at my blog after doing a Google search for “how to find one of those great Amway salespeople” or “how to tell Amway people they are super”.

Here are 101 things to say to an IBO to praise him or her:

What to do in Portland along with Free Enterprise Days

Amway WWDB is holding Free Enterprise Days in Portland Oregon October 12 to 14 2012.

I’m just copying and pasting from previous blogs I posted about Family Reunion.

Sorry Portland! I think I already covered what I deem to be your highlights before!

I read an article about the top 10 cities for foodies and surprisingly enough to me Portland Oregon was on the list.

Super-green Portland has earned a reputation for its farm-to-table dining, well-crafted microbrews, and 200-odd food trucks. To get a sampling of the most popular — including Namu, excellent Korean-Hawaiian fusion — check out the food truck “pods” at Pioneer Courthouse Square or at SE Hawthorne and 12th Avenue. And don’t be fooled by the notion that these Oregonians are totally health-conscious: another culinary must-stop is Voodoo Doughnuts for its bacon-topped maple bar and the breakfast-cereal-crusted “Captain My Captain.”

The original article is here. http://travel.yahoo.com/p-interests-40686622

Did that article just say Voodoo Doughnuts! Sounds like my kind of place! A little Google search and I found the web page.http://voodoodoughnut.com/index.php

Over 90 different donuts! I want one of those Amway doll donuts! I get a lot of very strange searchers finding their way to Anna Banana’s blog. Maybe because these searchers aren’t building their Amway businesses properly and they feel like they’re never home!? Voodoo Doughnuts can help those who need Amway more than they realise. I recommend the donut creation Board-N-Plan. I would have liked to copy and paste some of their images here but they’ve got some code in their web page that prevents me from copying their donut pictures.

A Google search tells me that Portland has a lot of museums and Oriental inspired gardens and parks. Not really my thing but something to bear in mind if you are faced with a choice between going to an Amway WWDB function or a museum. It will be a tough choice but if I did I’d go to the The Hat Museum. Admission is $15, not bad and in reality a lot more expensive than listening to some great bunch of Diamonds praising their IBO’s.

The last time I did a post like this someone who must have been there added into comments to visit the Pittock Mansion. Admission is $8.50 for adults and slightly less for other age groups. http://pittockmansion.org/

No one will want to miss the Church of Elvis. It’s in the store window of a shop in Chinatown. Has a coin operated movie that you can plug from the sidewalk. So I’d call it nearly free. It might be a slight distraction for the people attending Family Reunion who will be up and about pretty much 24 hours a day. There are some other really great techniques you can learn if you suffer from sleep deprivation. I’d really like to hear what the Church of Elvis movie has to say at 2 in the morning but in truth I should say stick with the Platinum!

House Spirits Distillery tour and tasting. Yummy! Have to be 21. There is a fee for tasting but if you buy a bottle it will be waived. This will make a nice gift for one of your Amway IBO’s! if you like!

Widmer Brothers Brewing Free tour. Free beer. Need I say more?

The Oregon Zoo Adult admission is $10.50 for adults. A little cheaper for other age groups. It’ll be fun to visit the bear exhibit and better if you could share it with your upline!

For anyone really interested in visiting Portland, Oregon and doing tourist attraction things see Trip Advisor http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g52024-Activities-Portland_Oregon.html#TtD for suggestions. Most attractions are museums and parks.

Love Your IBO!

It’s bound to happen! Someone will do a Google search for “love your IBO” and will find my blog! You guessed it. I want it to be Number 1 on the search engine!

Yes this is definitely the place to be if you want to tell any IBO you’ve ever met: “Love you!” Or live in celebration through me saying it.

Depending on your perspective there are different types of IBO’s to say love you to:

1. from the point of view of someone who is associated with Amway and does want to be associated with Amway and does want to be surrounded by Amway IBO’s 2. from the point of view of someone who has a spouse, family member, or good friend who is an Amway IBO 3. from the point of view of a former IBO who has found out the truth about Amway and has re-joined the business

So rather than say love you over and over in each sentence I’ll just say it once at the top of the list.

19. for explaining to us how buying tools is sometimes necessary and by explaining how you can work with even if we don’t buy them (The Amway literature says buying tools from your LOS is optional and your upline will always mentor you and assist you to build a business if you don’t buy them)

Amway Changed My Life

A reader shares her story.

I thought I was living my dream life. My husband and I got married six years ago. Right away we bought a house using a small inheritance I'd received as a down payment. Cute little house with three bedrooms. I loved it and thought I'd be happy here forever. Our son was born four years ago. My husband worked for a courier and I've been working the same cashier job since going back to work after maternity leave. Maybe not the greatest jobs in the world but we were happy and meeting our bills. We had some savings. My husband was happy and funny and a great dad. One of the nicest people I've ever met in my life.

One day he comes home and tells me he met this man on his route who has a home based business and is going to drop by in an hour to tell us more about it. I was interested because my husband was excited and I'd like to work at home and be there for our son. Right now we were lucky and our church offers a reasonable child care service but I'd love not to go to work every day. This couple shows up and they seem nice. They show us this plan but I'm kind of confused by it. All I get out of it is we eat an energy bar every day and drink an energy drink every day and we find others to do the same and we can make a thousand dollars a month working part time from our home. I ask them how long they've been doing this and how much they make. They both look really uncomfortable and all he says is business is going really great and then he changes the subject. He tells us there is someone he wants us to meet who can explain this business better and whips out his cell phone to call this guy. Before I can stop him or say we want to think about is he gets this guy to agree to meet us the next night at McDonalds of all places.

We meet this guy and right away I like him. He reminds me of an infomercial sales guy on TV. He tells us he's a Platinum and we hear the word Amway for the first time and he jumps all around that and tells us the company he's involved in only uses Amway to ship their products and that he would have us join a company called the World Wide Group, a leadership training company. This is also known as World Wide Dream Builders and WWDB. They gave us more informed information and say now is the time to sign up to this great business opportunity because things are about to explode and we're coming in at the right time to make lots of money. They're over the top excited.

My husband wants to sign up and I agree. I guess it doesn't hurt to give it a try. Was I ever right! Amway became our answer to prayer almost right away. This was two years ago and it's been great ever since. We don’t have to but we usually attend business growth meetings at 8 o'clock several nights a week. Sometimes we chip in a little to help the cost and we normally hire a sitter when time we go. They introduce new products and services at nearly all these meetings. Showing the Amway business plan is east and everyone gets really social and we usually have a great timer. We live in eastern Washington and we are close enough to drive to where all these big meetings are held in Portland, Spokane, and Boise. There is so much choice and if we could we would go to more than one sometimes even when they're a week or two apart in different cities.

After one year our profits and savings are up. We are about $20,000 in credit at the bank and we have boxes of Amway products in the garage that my husband keeps on standby for when we or our customers or downlines start to run out!

The head honcho upline counsels with us to use the extra money we have made in our business to pay off the mortgage on our home. I loved doing this. The house is a great security. We pay off the debt. My husband quits his job. I still don't know why but I suspect due to Amway because he is changed and has become a really loving person and encourages everyone to join with us and start their Amway business. He's on the phone all the time constantly planning opportunity meetings with our upline. He tells me this is a good thing because now we can concentrate full time on building our Amway business. Out comes the planner because we need to increase our Amway products stock. The mortgage is gone and the other bills are paid on time and to think that two years earlier my pay couldn’t even come close to meeting our financial obligations. We have put over $30,000 more savings in to our bank in the last year.

In July we went to family reunion in Portland. My cousin lives there and we stayed at her house and she offered to watch our son. My husband loved this time. We could have spent the money to stay at a hotel to close to our upline but we liked the family time. We did get to go to some of the late night meetings that they call night owls. I am happy. We get on with my cousin and we’re glad me missed out on the hotel. I didn't go to family function. I talked to my cousin all weekend about what a difference our lives are because of Amway. Most of our family and friends have joined with our business because of my husbands’ success.

That weekend I decided for my own happiness to quit my job and go full time in Amway. My husband was thrilled. He says success is right around the corner. He is not kidding! We signed up two people during two weeks in Portland and that was just after we got there. One has really excelled after a few weeks because the other distributors in our upline organization helped them and the other couple are close friends of ours who are coming along nicely. They both renewed their membership for the following year.

We're now in the process of expanding our family. He has found a bigger house for us almost in the same neighborhood out and is help remodel it with the help of our upline. Our old house is up for sale. My parents are thinking they might take out a further mortgage and buy it and have got a lawyer to look into it. My husband is using another one of our downlines in Amway to help him with all the legal stuff. The only thing they're concerned about is that I don't get too excited over this whilst the new baby is on the way! I’m stronger than that but it’s nice to know they care. Besides I don't need to do much half the time! I guess I can forget about having financial worries because he has planned things well. I want good school for our son. He can keep growing our Amway business.

This is not how I thought my life would turn out. I'm 32 and have a great husband we both have a young son to raise. My new beautiful house will be ready quite soon. I will want for nothing when we move out of our old house.

All I can say to anyone who gets approached by someone in Amway to sign up and sell their products and recruit others to sell Amway products is go for it! Everybody wants an opportunity in life and even just retailing the products will produce a moderates extra income. So go and sign up. It’s a great way to use your time and make money.

Thank you Amway for changing my life.

How Do I Get My Son Into Amway?

I get several searchers daily looking for how to get their loved ones into an Amway business but lately I have been inundated with people finding their way here hoping to find more information on how to get their son, daughter, husband, friend into Amway or how to convince someone to join Amway or that their brother has just joined Amway.

The desperation to join Amway from these people is evident. For some there is nowhere to turn but the Internet where they hope to find the information they seek. Fortunately they come to me and are happy that I can provide an answer. My husband will always have some comforting response which no doubt was taught to him by our Amway upline to respond to just about every request. This is part of the teaching that we sponsors learn at Amway meetings. Gotta have a good response to everything those needy people have about Amway! The thing we find that most people do is join up right away. 95% of our downlines really love Amway and inside 2 years most of them are very happy when they realize how much money they're making.

There is a sad reality the some people quit and we usually have to let the business run its course and hope the downline figures it out it’s better to stay rather than quit. But hey, this business is not for everyone!

There is a great comfort to be had by those who are watching their loved ones change before their eyes into a successful Amway distributor. A person who had previously been a little hesitant all of a sudden becomes a generous, kind, helpful and willing person whose mission in life is to help other people. Especially they help people who work for a living to dream of owning their own business. It becomes almost personal. They are duplicating their upline. That's how the Amway business works.

I had a woman leave comments about her step-son and how respectful he'd become since signing up with Amway, especially to his father and relating to him because he was struggling in his job and wanted to be a business owner. They really connected. True love. I think the kid was 20 or 21 years old so old and he had made enough to support himself with his own Amway business that this was enough encouragement for his father to join Amway. She thought it was wonderful when he bought her a new car and through his business he was able to purchase a new apartment.

Amway distributors are encouraged by their leaders to believe in themselves and to encourage other to become part of the Amway “family” This is because everyone looking for that special way to get ahead in life but have not yet tried Amway. They’re not the only people who care about you but those who have your best interests at heart are your Amway uplines. These are the people who along with your family love you and want your business to grow.

A lot of Amway distributors will testify to that!

And it’s fascinating. How do Amway distributors gain knowledge so quickly by the people in their Amway upline? These people are basically strangers to them that they've only known a short time. And now all of a sudden these are people who are all knowing and all loving. Well that’s just the way it is!

Let’s see? You might be wondering who would actually be more caring and loving and have their best interests at heart? Why can’t it be both? People the new distributor has existing relationships with for their entire life can easily run alongside the Amway upline they've only known for weeks or months?

You always find that a previously disinterested third party also wants to get involved to help with the new business too. A new Amway distributor needs all the help he or she can get. Some of the best people to seek advice from are either a financial consultant or a business consultant. Definitely another business professional. If you wish you can bring the new distributor to a meeting where the Amway business plan can be evaluated. You may even ask the new distributor to bring copy of their uplines profit and loss statement and tax return information. The upline will be more than willing to help and will not mind providing financials. Very few might get a bit huffy and say that information is private but that is rare. The consultant should want to help the new distributor how new business owners keep proper books. The consultant can take a look at the business plan and point out how more than likely it is that the new distributor has a good chance to be part of majority who will make a lot of money at this business. Over 99% success rates. They will teach the new distributor how to keep a profit and loss statement for the next fiscal year. It will more than likely be necessary to show them what this means and how they keep track of expenses and income. You should set up another meeting to re-evaluate how the new business is doing but expect that this really works and be happy when they stare at the profits on paper.

Fortunately in most cases you and the new distributors find that their involvement with this incredible business opportunity which is really down to some hard work, interesting to watch as they dig themselves out of a potential financial hole. You can’t help but to stand by cheering them on. Once the new distributor has increased the money in their bank account by retailing the Amway products and attending the meetings they will likely be encouraged and want to grow a larger and more secure business. Once that program is underway then they are on their way to the top. There's a lot of money to be made retailing Amway products. Amway distributors may want to attain other dreams when the $$$ increase. There is a great financial and emotional relief when building a successful Amway business? During this period the Amway distributor becomes more self-assured. The time will come when they will step out on their own as a truly independent leader and nothing will please their uplines more. All that just by buying Amway products! The successful distributor is praised and rewarded and encouraged by their upline for now knowing just what it takes to be a business owner.

Worse case scenarios new distributors fail to listen to the advice of their uplines. No wants anyone to dig themselves deeper into a hole and face bankruptcy, foreclosure, and often divorce because relationships can't handle that kind of financial stress. There is a solution!

But who will be there if the new distributor needs help? Their Amway uplines! It may seem that they only know you for a short period of time, but they will almost certainly want to keep the promise they made and that is to be your best friend forever. It most certainly should be the people the new distributors have known all their lives, the family.

To all those who search for how to get their loved ones into Amway just call me. It will be one of the best decisions you will ever make.

Come away from the Dark Side - We have Amway Products!

Ever notice with Amway people how they gush about how wonderful Amway products are. They are "high quality” and they are priced appropriately. Read into that experienced knowledge and an understanding of their high quality. Gush gush exuberance. It is true that the only way you too can get some of these Amway products is if you become a customer or sign up as an Amway IBO. Great club. Great buyers club.

Obviously our upline thinks the best way they can entice people to sign up to be an Amway IBO is because they can now buy Amway products? Quality products for quality people. Perhaps they’re right!

Before we signed up we went to a grand opening at the house of our friend and future upline, who ended up sponsoring us into Amway. This is someone we've known for a long time. My husband knows his brother, met him first many years ago, and over the years eventually met our upline who ended up sponsoring us into Amway. Unfortunately our paths with the brother haven't crossed too often over the years but when we do it is usually at our uplines house. For some reason our upline was never able to sponsor his brother and wife into Amway. So here we are at this lunch thing and who's missing? The brother and his wife. They had decided they were way too smart and knew “better” than to get involved in anything he's in. I tried to encouarge my husband to contact them with a suggestion that maybe they were being unkind and should at least help his own brother by buying some Amway products.

I eventually wandered over to see what the wife thought of this Amway business and the products. She was standing at a table loaded with a box Amway products. She gives me a great story about how they changed their buying habits to shop from their own store and when their relatives want to buy things from them she was clear on what things these relatives required. In fact they were tripping over each other to buy from our Amway uplines who now wasted no time in encouraging them to do the same and shop from their store too. It seems to me she's thrilled about this. Amway are great and easy to like and she's gung ho about their new business.

Back outside with our Amway upline another person had shown up to tell his sponsor he had qualified to platinum. Just another incredible Amway story. He didn’t have his wife with him so I couldn’t share with her how great going to Amway events is.

Actually I occasionally meet the sponsor's and the platinum’s wife at Amway meetings and it makes it all the more worthwhile going to them. They also like to encourage people they meet who think they have better things to do with their time to come along with them to the Amway meetings?

I’ve since heard that the platinum has along with his wife have gone back to Iowa where she originally came from. Going back to care for her mommy and be supportive in a Christian way.
